A training program can intervene at multiple levels. At the lowest level is training on set processes - on what has to be done and how. Since not everything can be put into a process, at the next level, skills are developed, so that people can build the processes themselves. However, not all skills can be taught. With the right attitude or perspective, people can leadevelop the required skill themselves. Finally at the highest level, a person can be trained on evolving their consciousness of the person leading to spiritual growth.
The transformational leadership program endeavours to bring about a shift in the perspective of the participants - do develop a leadership attitude in them. It touches upon some skills but predominantly focuses on building the right perspective for them to become effective leaders, and occasionally guiding them to deeply build themselves and evolve their consciousness.
The program is not only about classroom training sessions. There are 4 elements of the program structure, each being equally important towards effecting the transformation. The 4 elements taken as a whole comprise the program/intervention.
The classroom sessions provide learning experiences and conceptual clearances. Assignments post the session enale the participants to apply the concepts in real life - both in a reflective and a practical manner. One-on-one sessions with each participant gives an individualised application opportunity. The leadership project acts as a platform to express and apply the learnings to some real life situation and thus internalise.
The program is driven across 3 major modules, each comprising of multiple sessions.
A person needs to be able to lead himself/herself effectively before being able to lead others. This module enables participants to recognising opportunities for internal transformation, and develop an empowering context of the future for themselves.
in the module of leading others, participants learn key differences between leading and managing others and teams, and the principles of developing willingness, trust, influencing, empowerment, inspiration and execution.
Finally specific leadership techniques like negotiation, strategic thinking, innovation and problem solving are covered in the third module.
At the time of delivery, the program is customised based on the target audience, and the needs of the client organisation, keeping the spirit of the program the same.
