Often overlooked, lack of alignment amongst various stakeholders is a major brake/hindrance in the organisation’s progress. Alignment could be missing amongst founders of the company, amongst members of the leadership team, between senior leadership and next level management, or between two departments. Alignment may be missing w.r.t. goals/vision, the direction/strategy, or even approach or way of working/personal styles.
Lack of alignment can result in different entities driving different agendas, which are often contradictory, or in different directions which may not be complementary. This can mean a sever lack of efficiency, duplication of work, or simply a lot of wastage of resources and/or effort. It can often cause conflicts, employees getting mixed/confusing signals, and can bring decisions or initiatives to a stall, or delay them significantly.
We work with stakeholders helping them to clarify their expectations towards each other, challenges they experience in mutual functioning and help them to arrive at effective solutions. All this is done in the context of the overall goal of the organisation/vision. We help the stakeholders to clarify roles and responsibilities, common and individual objectives, define metrics to enable review of progress and establish processes towards functioning synergistically. We facilitate communication, collaboration and defining formal structures with our experience in handling such matters for our clients across multiple industries.
